I remember visiting P.3.62, Keen in Hospital a

short time after his admittance and he asked me to look at the

occurrence book and let him know if Inspector Warnock who sign

ed his admission order had made any remark about his being

hurt on duty. This I did and on my next visit told him there

was no such remark made. I believe he said at the time he would

see about it when he come out of Hospital.

I also remember him telling me how he got hurt,

when on duty on the Canton Wharf and when walking on the wharf

he got the outside of his foot down between the planks which

form the floor of the wharf and gave it a twist.

I think he told me he continued on doing duty

for some few days afterwards and when one night as he was run-

ning to a fire he got a slip and fell. The result of that fall

causing intense pain which I believe accelerated his going to

Hospital.
